For 2020, most show down (from previous year) except for Burglary and Motor Vehicle Theft - both of these are non-violent crimes, no? if I am not mistaken, he would rather focus on incarcerating violent ones.pic.twitter.com/sN7PcvZod8
I bleed 415. This account will be objective and fact driven but will also share my opinions. Residents need to be informed, Politicos held accountable.

It's not surprising that those two are up and very correlated to the economic conditions we are in. I would expect to see improvement correlated with improvement in the economy, hopefully next year.
Right, that's where he should prioritize the DA's resources to prosecute. People should pay a price for killing someone.
Neil, I'm not okay with SF residents getting broken into over and over again - it's not okay and it's not normal. Or how about the poor woman yesterday who was assaulted and her dog stolen?
I feel for any victim of any crime and when it happened to me, I was livid in the moment. I know how that feels. Assault is violence and I fully expect him to prosecute and I hope he does.
So you don't think breaking into a garage or into a car and stealing property should be prosecuted?
I'll play devil's advocate on this one: No, but yes, if there is *violence* towards a human or animal (pet). Breaking in and stealing, in and of itself is not violence. I am for prioritizing violent crimes - the qualifier is important IMHO.
So you're going to wait until that non-violent crime becomes violent when the offender confronts a civilian while a crime is in progress? This makes no sense and insane. This is also inconsistent with your claim you're for greater public safety. These are mutually exclusive.
I disagree that my claim is inconsistent for greater public safety. The are many ways to achieve public safety and many have yet to be tried. Although, with #CriminalJusticeReform that has begun and supported by both parties.
We may just have to agree to disagree on this thread
We clearly disagree and I find your positions dangerous, and completely inconsistent with "Advocate FOR San Francisco". As long as you allow crime to go uninvestigated and unpunished, there will be more crime. That is common sense - it is to me at least.
