Instead of projecting my conclusions- just look at my feed, I lay it all out there. Crime is on the rise in SF- FACT when normalized for no tourists. DA has repeatedly had the gall to say crime is decreasing. His statements and actions speak for themselves - all coming to light.

@BravoSFPols - would u mind posting the link to crime stats you are looking at? I want to understand why the dispute in conclusion - may be the time horizon is different between the two schools? It is generally true that crime rises when economic conditions worsen.3 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

Of course - here you go. Play around with it. You want to understand the discrepancy? Chesa is not honest with the public.https://www.sanfranciscopolice.org/stay-safe/crime-data/crime-dashboard …

For 2020, most show down (from previous year) except for Burglary and Motor Vehicle Theft - both of these are non-violent crimes, no? if I am not mistaken, he would rather focus on incarcerating violent ones.pic.twitter.com/sN7PcvZod8

1. They are down because tourism is down - this is well known and accepted by all, even Chesa admits this. 2. You think Burglary is non-violent - Burglary is breaking and entering.

So comparing 2019 to 2018 would take tourism into account, yes? "Depending on the type of structure involved, burglary can be charged as a felony or a misdemeanor." Not a lawyer - seems non-violent unless an assault occurs FYI, I have been burglarized (twice).pic.twitter.com/GBYjxo3Z8o

I did now "And we all know that to build safety, we have to work together." Given his lived experience, I can understand his POV. I do agree with this bit though "Jail and prison should be the last resort" for non-violent crimes - call me naive if you wish.pic.twitter.com/DC355A6ZZD

You missed how he can't be honest about facts about crime?

He said crime rates dropped by "nearly 25%" when crime numbers ACTUALLY dropped by 24.5%. What a liar.pic.twitter.com/U3bCXYjps6

If you can't see how he's not telling the entire picture, I can't help you. It shows how you have in an inability to be objective. I'd encourage you to read this:https://davidsacks.medium.com/the-killer-d-a-54d4c4a5135f …
