New today
A policy preventing Copyright owners from making $ on manual claims for:
Short song clips (ex: 5 sec of a song)
Unintentional audio (ex:
from passing cars)
Claimants can still block monetization or the video itself, but timestamps help you edit out the claim.

This is an important step (with more to come!) towards a better Copyright system for creators & music partners long term.

So the onus is still on the content creator to find and timestamp every occurrence of claimed content. You say 5 seconds, but the US Gov't says 15 is acceptable, or all of it with permission. Tell me, if my 501c3 singing group posts their performance, does it fall under this?
