For anyone following this thread, I am shocked that nobody has the decency to call out what is an obviously discriminatory statement, accusing me of being in a cult, and stating that religious people don’t have scientific integrity. Very interesting.

Einstein believed in God. So did Newton. Religion and Science get along just fine...it's people's biases of the world that don't.

Christians, in particular, might take the news hardest, because the Christian belief system does not easily allow for other intelligent beings in the universe, Christian thinkers said at the 100 Year Starship.

I was always taught to believe that there are worlds without number, and that the universe is full of intelligent life...

The government undoubtedly has had their top sociologists, psychiatrists and theologians doing research and writing papers on the implications of disclosure for years.

give pause to the contents of those findings, I suspect it's not a not a good look. Some hair-raising conclusions are going to hold a lot of weight for any agency divulging those revelations.

This is a good argument for why the secret has been kept for more than 70 years.
