A worthy effort this weekend by @BrandonFugal to take us on a musical time slip to the 1980's. I still listen to Prince & Benatar on the regular. But when it comes to duets, I'm bringing Michael J. & The Queen of Rock-n-Roll. Don't even argue.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5TEI7hizN4 …

No Black Flag, Butthole Surfers, Dead Kennedys? I mean, the first Smiths album? Zen arcade by Husker? What were you doing in 1984? The Replacements Let It Be was in 1984...geez.

I was more into bandannas and blue jeans, so in the 80's I was checking out GnR's Appetite for Destruction. And the Stones had a few albums, including Tattoo You & Steel Wheels. Good stuff!

GnR’s work was groundbreaking, and still holds up!

I don't know if I would consider it ground breaking but it was the logical outgrowth of the glam, punk, metal scenes fusing together as best seen with Metallica's Garage Days Re-Revisited which came out a month later.

It was groundbreaking in that introduced a new sound and approach, that stands apart from the top glam rock/hair metal bands of the time (who I absolutely love)
