Why do you find that hard to believe? Do you honestly think after finding a dead cow the producers suddenly contacted her and immediately managed to get her on a helicopter with @BrandonFugal to 'investigate'? Of course they had her on standby.

The problem was having the program structured as an 'entertainment' rather than a serious documentary. I think this has backfired on the producers and because of these editorial choices some of the content's integrity has (rightly or wrongly) been called into question.
The challenge is in selecting a medium that will best accomplish all objectives. Based on my limited experience, it appears quite difficult to near impossible, especially given the scope of this particular endeavor. A “serious documentary” effort has its own extreme limitations.

As we have heard, there can be long periods on the ranch on inactivity... but what Brandon has given us is a look into the inital science, the people doing it, the technology being used ...AND access to himself and the cast via social media.

In addition, I don’t think it backfired. The show is the biggest new hit on
@HISTORY in YEARS, & has pulled in millions of viewers, resulting in worldwide discussion regarding these topics. It isn’t perfect but I challenge anyone to name a better example dealing with these topics -
