Also, maybe you can ask Apple what would cause an iPhone to go nuts as demonstrated on their footage. That should be a major security/usability concern for them.

Impossible to have two broken phones in the same location? Did they show the phones working fine before and after this incident? Simplest explanation is they were already faulty. Then add some dramatization.
The phones were not faulty, and worked just fine before & after the incident. Both Winterton and Bench are still using those phones, at present. Working fine. In fact, Tom’s out irrigating on the ranch right now with the same phone...no ghost touching, not faulty.

Well, if thats true then that was a very interesting event. Did you try, at the very least, walking towards the cow and then far away, with both phones and the meter? How long did it last? Did it suddenly stop?

Based on the reports & follow up discussion, they walked back & forth quite a bit. It did not last long. Everything stopped rather abruptly & returned to normal.

It seems improbable to me, it was just dirty screen protectors. The battery issues as well. Did any of the shooting cameras have battery failures or corrupted cards during filming?

Good question - the crew experienced numerous battery failures & corrupted cards during filming. In fact, when they were conducting the GPR survey on top of the Mesa, the whole sequence was missing...

Mr. Fugal, has there been any forensic analysis of the phones and batteries that were affected? Just to rule out possible mundane causes, faulty equipment, etc. In fact, I'd be very interested to see controlled tests done on phones and other Li-ion devices.

Good point, fair criticism. I had forgotten the earlier incident. That said, his phone malfunctioning simultaneous with Thomas Winterton’s, & equipment readings (surrounding the cow incident) make it highly unusual, in my opinion. It was NOT contrived, staged or manipulated.
