The point of radiation a mile above could indeed be due to a lensing/focusing effect of the ambient radiation being focused upward into the atmosphere due to the concave shape of the deposit below the ranch.

My intuitive guess without doing all the math is that the focal point above a concave (parabolic dish, like the Arecibo Observatory) area with diameter of 1,000 feet could be sufficiently high as to produce the measured effect above the ranch.

Battery drain and electronics issues can be explained by cathode degradation in LiON batteries and other components that suffer from various effects of ionizing radiation. Spacecraft systems have to be hardened against space radiation, so
@History needs the same hardening.1 Antwort 0 Retweets 1 Gefällt mirDiesen Thread anzeigen -
My question to
@BrandonFugal is whether the film crew also experienced technology anomalies and battery drains. The radiofrequency anomalies may also be related to ionizing radiation escaping the ground in large quantities and at various intervals.3 Antworten 0 Retweets 3 Gefällt mirDiesen Thread anzeigen -

I figured, but I wished the producers would have shown that in the episodes so far (or maybe they will in future ones). That would have helped at least answer the skeptics who keep pointing this out.

Haven't there been a couple of times in the show where fresh batteries were sapped? A laser pointer with new batteries that died, meters that had complete charges that then failed? Are those types evidence so common due to ghost hunting shows that no one notices them anymore?

Good question! We’ve had cell phones totally drained and other equipment go dead or malfunction all the time (laser pointer, ground penetrating radar unit, drones). After a while people (including me) have a tendency to take these events for granted, as it happens constantly.

Just saw the excellent episode 5 and it has a lot of battery drain and electronic interference. What happened to the cell phone was downright creepy. Brandon, can you tell us what the time frame was for filming this first season? How long ago did filming end?

Primary filming commenced in May and concluded on the ranch in September, with the finale end of October...

Thank you! Of course it makes us all wonder what happens when the cameras aren't rolling. Although I was amazed that Dragon said he hadn't seen a UFO before filming started, then in this last episode he indicated more stuff was going on than he was used to & seemed upset by both.

When Dragon said those things, it made me wonder if activity ramped up during the shoot. Otherwise, why hadn't someone who had spent as much time on the ranch as I assume Dragon (what's the origin of that nickname?) had not witnessed more anomalous stuff beforehand?
