I'm still a little confused as to what you would expect a skeptic to do there. What exactly would I be testing? Or do I just go there, dig a hole, and have an experience, like CE5, and I'd be converted. Who is the the last scientist who was converted?

Dr. Travis Taylor. He arrived at Skinwalker Ranch a total skeptic (just like I did, over 4 years ago). He has now had experiences that defy natural explanation (so far).

Forgive me if I'm a little skeptical about Dr. Taylor. He was one of the "experts" on the Unidentified show. Didn't really do a good job with the videos. Also, when he was reading the RF meter there was audio, meaning that wireless mic on his belt was broadcasting RF.

I'm sure his credentials are legit, and that he's both intelligent and experienced. But career TV scientists unfortunately have a strong bias towards what makes good TV. You need to convince someone whose paycheck does not depend upon them being convinced (or at least credulous)

Dr. Taylor is NOT a career TV scientist. He’s worked on various programs for the United States Department of Defense & NASA for 16+ yrs - continues to work for both. He has PhDs in Optical Science & Engineering & Aerospace Systems Engineering, & 3 Masters (Physics/Astronomy/Eng)

Yes, he's got impressive credentials and experience. But a non-trivial chunk of his career now is doing these TV shows. He's certainly not JUST a TV Scientist, but it's on his resume. You could just hire an RF measuring expert, but that would be really boring.pic.twitter.com/zJzhOOD97L

I'm being realistic. Brandon knows there's trade-offs for doing a show like this. The producers need to give an entertaining narrative, with appropriate reactions, etc. Taylor, while no doubt being an actual scientist/engineer, is also great at working with producers.

I strongly disagree w/the way you marginalize/diminish his credibility as both a scientist & objective observer/experiencer. You’d be hard pressed to find someone who is equally credentialed among the cacophony of critics. Plus he’s joined by 2 other legit scientists on my team.

Well the problem here is that his credibility, knowledge, and experience isn't really coming though in the show. You see hints of it, like when he express skepticism when that giant magnet was rolled out. But it's mostly hidden by the show's production.

True - that is a legitimate criticism. The television medium has its challenges, but it also a powerful medium to inform the general public & stimulate interest and discussion.

The TV medium may have that potential, but what actually happens, more often than not, is uncritical acceptance of subjective beliefs. From my seat, that’s much more of a cultural hindrance than positive contribution.

That’s a fair criticism. I can see your point of view. Give me some examples of truly positive contributions over the last 30 years that have truly advanced and elevated the discussion & research regarding these topics.
