@BrandonFugal is this true? Is there any kind of script given to SWR cast to promote mistery & suspense? Even if they know the explanation is something prosaic? It's a TV show I get it. Im enjoying it so far, want to see more discoveries. I want that 4K ufo video captured! Lol

It really looks like it's behind the mesa. Do you happen to know *exactly* where the camera was here? I can do a line of sight check, but the camera position is not clear.pic.twitter.com/k8pNpPfJVp

Good question! That’s an Erik Bard question...i know he closely monitors the dozens of cameras and is very particular about their positioning. i am going to thoroughly review with him...

If it was only seen in infrared, that would be quite interesting...
Do you know if anyone was recording in visible light at the same time? (I haven’t seen that episode yet). -
The photo of the pillar is from the first episode, and seems to be from the year before production. I think it only showing up in IR photos might simply be a function of no simultaneous visible-light photos being taken at night. Night surveillance photos are generally only IR.

Sorry to bother you, how far are those lights on the left are from the Mesa? If they are close they should create a light pillar too. If the atmospheric conditions are right every streetlight or brighter source of light creates one. I see them every winter.

Good question! When we originally observed the light pillar phenomena above the Mesa, Winterton immediately investigated & couldn’t locate anything that was an obvious source. Additionally, the team could only see it through the infrared, simultaneous w/looking w/the naked eye
