@BrandonFugal has stated the reason to do this is to be transparent and to get the information out to a wider audience. He could wait, get rejected by multiple scientific journals and then release something to the press but that wouldn’t please you either.

Temper temper. I am not incensed and I don’t watch the show. If there’s something there I’ll probably see it in the ads for a third season on History Channel, cause, isn’t this the state of American scientific anomaly research these days.
Why are you even commenting if you don’t watch the show? The question is not meant to be adversarial, I am just curious. It’s like me arguing with someone about a book I have never read.

Some of you guys seem to want to flip flop on whether you’re defending the show or the research as convenient. It really doesn’t matter, because solid info will either eventually be produced or it won’t. Good luck, but after decades, we’re still waiting.

If it doesn’t really matter then stop talking about it Jack. Either you care enough to take time to bash the show, the research, the effort in general or you don’t. If you’re above it all then don’t bother talking down to other people about it.

I'm not making any apologies but there's been a lot of hoaxing in UFology. I exposed one myself. But I'll never forget why I became interested in the subject. I saw something up close that I can't explain in broad daylight. That's not science but to me it was very real.

It's so sad to hear criticisms of the research done there. I would like to see what they could do better and see what kind of budget they could get. They would spend their days trying to send radio signals into space and call it science.
