@BrandonFugal has stated the reason to do this is to be transparent and to get the information out to a wider audience. He could wait, get rejected by multiple scientific journals and then release something to the press but that wouldn’t please you either.

I don’t believe the ‘scientific rejection’ theory. Had they truly found something that was falsifiable, no science journal would have turned this momentous discovery down. Higgs boson, anyone?

No one has said anywhere that they don’t plan on submitting findings for review. My guess is that Travis would insist on it. You have made that assumption because you have already decided they’re going to do everything wrong or that there isn’t anything there in the first place.

No, I have stated that I don’t believe in scientific rejection had there truly been something there that was a)anomalous and b)falsifiable. This is the age of CERN, after all.
