    Always been my goal in life to pursue law enforcement. Went to school for it, but life kept saying no. One ride along with a friend and he said "sure you make a lot of money, at the end of the day is that what you want to hang your hat on, or do you want to make a difference?"

    First mile I've run in every bit of 2 years. Slapped on my old duty belt and decided today is the day for change. Today is my starting point. Only going up from here. Daily runs, healthier meals, a better life. This world needs more good guys.

    Exhausted. I'm a fill in supervisor everywhere anymore lol I run the facility in Coldwater every night been filling in as a supervisor of the 213 door facility every night, 14 hour night every night this week, now I get to go home and nap and run our facility in Toledo...I'm beat

    ...community policing at its best. He didn't write tickets, his focus was on his community and keeping it safer. We did nothing but help people that night and it was an honor to share a squad car with him, and it breaks my heart he could lose his life because of his badge. 3/3

    ... this very well could be an ambush. Which hadn't crossed my mind. It truly struck me, my friend one of the most genuine and caring guys I know very could be driving us into an ambush just because people hate the uniform he wears. The policing we did the other night was... 2/3

    Been thinking a lot about my ride along last night. The thing that really stuck with me was a "routine" call. 911 hang-up. We raced to the address, and we discussed the possibility of it being an armed robbery, possible kidnapping, and are running ideas then he says .... 1/3

    Oh and my favorite part of the night was hanging out with 3 deputies at a gas station where the common theme was "I really want a donut but I just can't do it in uniform" 🤣🤣🤣 broke down and got some and chocolate milk. A win win!

    Tonight riding with a former coworker who is now a deputy really opened my eyes. Tonight wasn't an "exciting" night by any means, but we did what LEOs are supposed to do. Made a difference. Was a fantastic experience and only drives my passion to dive into LE work harder.

    One thing my friend I am doing the ride along with told me is "This is going to make you want to do it" law enforcement was always my dream, but anytime I was ready to do so a tragic event in my life would pull me away from it. Going to be an interesting night for sure!
