    I just found out my newly-out transgendered nephew has already been a target at his high school. (Small town Nebraska, go figure.) Probably going to see a lot of angry tweeting toward the bigoted republican party today. And I'm not sorry even a tiny bit.

    Poor Tucker. You know what my LGBTQ & minority friends hate? Walking down the street, going to restaurants, basically anywhere and hearing hate speech and/or being in fear for their lives because of your racist, bigoted republican party & President. So kick rocks, Tucker.

    Could we stop with 2020 presidential talk until after midterms next month? All we should be doing is getting out the vote, any way we can. We need Dem majority to stem the tide of damage by Trump/GOP. Midterms, people. Focus!

    I reject the notion that Twitter is a cesspool of societal evil. I just spent the morning meeting up with one of my favorite twitter people IRL. She & her husband are fabulous people! A year ago I didn’t even know either one of them and wouldn’t have crossed paths w/out Twitter.

    My boys and I spent our afternoon volunteering at a wonderful, no-kill animal shelter about 20 minutes from where we live. It was great except for the fact their Christmas lists now include 6 dogs and 4 kittens. I think it would just be easier to move into the shelter.

    Our state party chair is run by a member of Our Revolution. If that’s not the most tone deaf thing in Nebraska, I don’t know what is. It’s also why I identify as a Democrat in Nebraska & no longer a member of the Nebraska Democratic Party. Call me divisive but it is what it is.

    If someone uses the term reverse racism, I almost immediately check out of the conversation. If you are still trying to use that term in 2018, you’re playing the white victim card and I have no time for your uneducated ass. Do better, white people.

    Why is this outrage getting so little attention?

    From E Exec. Ave to W Exec Ave--i.e., the entire length of Penn Ave in front of the White House--to be closed to public access, & no permit for demonstrations will be permitted, under this proposed NPS regulation. Outraged? Public comments close Oct 15.

    Nah, I’m good. 1. He is a grifter. 2. He’s been politically impotent for 25+ years he’s been in office. 3. HRC won more votes than any white male before her. She won 3 million more than Bern in the primary. So, no. I’m good where I am.

    Why calls names like that? Let's talk policy (which he has influenced greatly), name calling doesn't accomplish anything. I voted HRC last time (competent), not right for the moment. Now you folks come my way this time like I and my friends did yours last time, or we part ways.

    It wasn’t supposed to rain today. First day in a week or more it wasn’t supposed to rain, so I could put up my boys’ Halloween decorations. The weather channel still says no rain today. Hey look—it’s raining. I don’t think the word rain means what they think it means.

    Remember, social media is a terrible gauge of how involved the rest of the country is in the upcoming elections. DONATE, VOLUNTEER, VOTE because a lot of people are not paying attention.
