As the father of a boy with autism, let me say this: All scientific evidence aside, If you think your child "getting" autism is worse than that child -- or any other child -- dying from an easily preventable viral disease, you're just an asshole. Sorry for the "vitriol."
Fools play dice with children. They are everywhere. I guess Rossio's point is: segregation. Both words point to segregationist attitudes. Many people who refuse compulsory vaccination lose rights: to school, healthcare, welfare, and parenthood rights.
And by refusing the vaccinations, the other children in the classes would be losing their right to protection. Choices have consequences in a society.
PRECISELY that.
There's not even evidence connecting autism with vaccines.... I'm autistic myself but even if I had a choice and vaccines would be the source of autism I'd rather get the vaccine
That's what makes it all so painfully ironic. It's endangering children on a premise that's complete and utter bullshit.
Well said.

Are we talking about the screenwriter who equated being anti vax with the n word?
Yes, that's where it started.
