  Missing the context here, bud. European countries followed guidelines, effectively eliminating the immediate dangers that we are still dealing with. We have the anemic effort or lack thereof made by the current administration to thank for us lagging behind these countries.

  My 4 year old granddaughter got covid in daycare and passed it to her father. 7 adults and 6 kids tested positive. It will happen if schools open before the virus is under control. Do the hard work first.

  We absolutely should follow the example set by those European countries. BTW, they have all contained the virus, which we have not. So, when we contain the virus (unlikely given what we see happening) we need to bring kids back to school. Or, send them back now and it gets worse.
