California now has CAREN Act, which makes it punishable to make fraudulent 911 calls based on race, gender and other identity features. Great idea but what happens when the law becomes a deterrent against reporting actual crime?

It bothers me that they made these identitarian. I think fraudulent 911 calls are bad - but the rule shouldn't be based on anyone's race or gender.

So if a crime is in progress we can only say a man or women if we no the difference is robbing something. When they ask what do they look like we can only say it a man or women. That should be fun for the cops if there are any left.
