It takes years to develop a good vaccine & rushing it in few months can be dangerous. Most good vaccines may only work 60% of the time so there‘s no guarantee that this will succeed. The paramount thing here is safety. We need herd immunity to end this virus.

Why can we not force this issue to the governors of the states that have been mandating masks for months now?! I am on Long Island & cannot stand to see one more child wearing a mask, walking & holding a parents hand OUTSIDE & inside!

Yes, older people may feel better wearing a mask and it should be their choice, but young healthy people for the very most part are better off with Covid than with the seasonal flu!
