I love YouTube and when the notification system was first introduced I was told it was a chance for subs to see "every video you upload" I supported or then. But why break this system too? Why let it be only a "if we think the video is good enough" system as well?
Yes. I'd be ok with "occasional notifications" being an option, rather than the default.

But that's the point of the bell on mobile! If you only subscribe to 33, that should not even take 10 minutes to set up.

However I've used the platform for a very long time, I have hundreds of channels subscribed to. No way would I want constant notifications on my phone telling me what they uploaded. I'll do that on my own time by looking at the subfeed which is sorted by day.
