Our story begins with a group of cancer survivors, featuring late nights, long talks, and a few cheeky drinks, and now we have an idea that will be a game changer… a peer support app for young people diagnosed with cancer.

Finally is an opportunity for those impacted by cancer to have an honest discussion. I’m grateful to be alive, but some days I’m sad, angry and confused about having cancer at a young age. Recently, I’ve realised this feeling isn’t unique to me.

Today is - a day marked across that world to raise awareness of cancer, and encourage its prevention, detection and treatment. As a survivor this day holds lots of joy, but also a lot of sorrow. Let’s take the time to remember everyone impacted by cancer.

Everyone saying that I should position myself in the middle is wrong! Does an African activist have to stand in the middle just because of fear of being cropped out? It shouldn't be like this!
