Saajid’s latest video was a discussion on whether or not Booktube is American centric. It is a MUST watch.

Omg!!! Saajid is so close to 10k!!! 🎉🙌🏽🎊 They are constantly championing Caribbean and Muslim reads. They’re also one of the FIRST Booktubers I ever watched. I fell in love instantly and have been subbed ever since.

Train to Busan is based on VERY Korean things like culture, history and class that is specific to Korea. Remaking it in the US will strip it of the things that made it special. Just watch the original. signed, a Korean person who is terrified of horror films but appreciates TTB

Planning a BIPOC dark academia vlog and thinking about how deeply hurt and scarred I was by the racist, xenophobic content in The Goldfinch. I know so many of y’all love Donna Tartt but her writing is actively harmful and it stings every time I see someone rec one of her books.

I’d love to do a dark academia series but with non Eurowestern/ BIPOC books. I have little interest in the hyped white dark academia books esp as they exclude BIPOC presence in those spaces. If y’all have any recs please drop them below!

when i tell you this is the only book to make me cry tears of joy. I mean it. It features arguably my fav romance of all time. An ace character who i love and feel seen by. Gorgeous writing. It is the epitome of Black Girl Magic and the book i most desire an adaptation for.

I cannot think of a more precious work than Raybearer by . It is a whimsical, vibrant fantasy about a Black girl seeking love and found family. It celebrates the diaspora in so many ways. The sequel, Redemptor, is out Aug 17. Please preorder.
