My car got broken into a couple of weeks ago. A lady from the shopping centre office went out in her lunch break and bought some sheeting and tape and helped me patch up. And wouldn’t take a penny. There are still some good folk out there.
Thank you to the anonymous London Underground worker who found my stolen wallet & dropped it at my home with this unsigned note. The pickpocket took the cash, everything else is there. The stranger may have watched some of your reporting too, while not taking away anything from his kindheartedness and the effort to reach it safe. Often it takes months to replace “other things”, provided one remembers the inventory, which in most cases one doesn’t
