I am trying to get back as well and hoping that returning to routines developed after the new year will help. No thinking, just do what the list says to do next. I also see in my 5-year journal that there are 2 blank weeks 2 years in a row. You can do this. We've got you.

I was really struggling. I forced myself into the lab and that really helped as instead of writing and reading I could do more practical work. Try doing a more practical element of your work perhaps.

Try not to be hard on yourself, it happens to us all. You probably have done something. Mental reflection is something (you probably haven't stopped thinking about it) and looking after yourself is something. (If you didn't think about it, you needed the break)

Before Xmas I spent 5w at 60h/w working on smth that wasn’t working in the lab anymore, and I couldn’t get why. I went on holiday totally mentally and physically exhausted and with the impression I had lost 5w... different story, same outcome. Only way: BE KIND TO YOURSELF
