Evoking Pinochet’s “helicopter rides” allows Mark to signal that he wants violence against his political opponents (which is basically everyone to the left of Trump apparently) without those pesky swastikas and all the obvious associations that come with them.

Fortunately, the crypto-fascists of “Resist Marxism” and “Boston Free Speech” have been frustrated in their attempts to build a base that would allow them to mobilize for street fighting, largely thanks to a number of people in Boston counter-protesting them every time they try.
