I disagree. In Boston alone 20pc of the population have Irish heritage. Media from all over the world here covering what is likely to be a seismic event in the social history of this country.

New York Times and La Monde ran stories today, much bigger papers than the Boston Globe

Its on the Le Figaro site too, could just be a case of Irish Americans choosing to ignore this story, they are on the whole far more conservative than us now

@BostonGlobe did expose Cardinal Law and the abuse of children by the church, so it's not like they're kowtowing to the Church. -
True but not comparable. This is not just about the church in Ireland. It has many facets.
