        We have had plenty in Baltimore. One unqualified minority died in a fire training session. Others couldn’t carry or drag their weight

        ..., I want each and every first responder to be capable and the VERY BEST person capable of saving me, my children, my family, etc. I don’t want someone there because they got on the job because of their race or sex. This is a job about saving lives, people’s homes and our city.

        Why is it always about race and sex of the individual. Why can’t a job that is responsible for saving lives go to those who are the best at it and leave the rest out. Leave race and sex off the applications. If I’m in a fire and need to be rescued, and more importantly my childre
