It's even harder being a sole custody single dad. There are no resources for dads. Nobody wants you in their babysitting share group, or their playground play date group. No "dads clubs" like they have "moms clubs". Dads are completely on their own.

My colleague went through this years ago, and he was telling me how difficult it is. Rigid gender roles hurt both genders.

It isn't "rigid gender roles". It is that most of the single parents are women, there are very few sole custody single dads, and the women do not want a man in their group.
