Fine. It’s probable that Warren is somewhere between 1/32 and 1/512 Native American. Does anyone really want to argue this is sufficient to claim Native American racial identity on applications/resumes? The Cherokee, from whom she claims descent, don’t think so.

She didn’t claim it on applications or resumes

“They singled her out, Warren later acknowledged, because she had listed herself as a minority in an Association of American Law Schools directory”https://www.cnn.com/2016/06/29/politics/elizabeth-warren-native-american-pocahontas/index.html …

She was singled out in a college newspaper article defending the law school for not having many minorities on staff. During the hiring process it was not a factor:https://www.bostonglobe.com/news/nation/2018/09/01/did-claiming-native-american-heritage-actually-help-elizabeth-warren-get-ahead-but-complicated/wUZZcrKKEOUv5Spnb7IO0K/story.html …

Good for her taking DNA test. Now can we put this to bed and move forward. She has a lot of people’s work to do.

She relied on what her parents told her. I've relied on what mine told me. How do I know I'm German-Irish? I don't.
-
The extended family did claim this myth/truth, she didn't invent it. DNA tests are amazing, no more races, but haplotypes...a few dozen! All one race, one species. I softened on this, and considering her acheivements, she would get my vote.

That was kinda my point.
