The more you read this piece, the writer equivocates. Contrasting this (bought and paid for) result with 0bama’s (laughingly doctored) long form BC ... and pretending it stands as “proof”???
Journalism is more and more a joke of a profession.

1/512 that's absolutely ridiculous! Senator Warren is NOT NATIVE AMERICAN! GOOD GRIEF!!!!!!!!
-
Why didn't she use regular DNA testing instead of a Stanford person after ChristineBlaseyFord, a Sanford person How are there 'little' Native American Ancestry samples to compare her 'sample' when Natives must prove their DNA %'s for rights to reside on their own land ?
-
Because a regular DNA test would show no Native American Heritage!
-
She had to hire a Stanford PhD to get her between 1/512 and 1/1024. BTW, that’s not near enough to qualify for minority status by college admissions standards. That’s all you need to know right there.

“6 to 10 generations ago”! Hardly worthy of “Native American” preferences!! She truly is

“6 to 10 generations back” leaves a lot of room for error. Fauxahontas should not have gotten a job at Harvard based on this scanty bull shoot.

There was lore in my family that we had Native American heritage, but mine, my sister's, and my great-uncle's results showed 0.0% Native DNA. A lot of guests on Finding Your Roots have also been disappointed to find that their family lore was incorrect.
-
I'm a genealogy enthusiast, so if this were my tree, I would continue to back up the DNA results with available documentation. It may turn out that the Native American ancestor is not on the branch of her tree that she thought!

If that qualifies as "native American," we all deserve a scholarship.
