I guess it’s naive to think admission decisions should be merit based. If matriculation doesn’t result in graduation, that means slots were denied to students who would have been successful. Its dangerous if it means decisions could come down to the color of your skin.

In your article, I think you should explain what race balancing is - which is trying to keep the the racial diversity proportions in admissions close to that of the country, and how Asian Americans are over represented in Harvard which is why Harvard tries to limit them.
