After a fatal hit-and-run Thursday, Erie Street in Cambridgeport was closed to traffic. “People are so aggressive in their cars,” said Patsy Ramsey, a lifelong resident of the neighborhood. “They think they can do whatever they want.” http://bos.gl/wxfQ6lw pic.twitter.com/SP3f5m1mDv

In car with my nephew driving, guy tried to cut into our lane from our right while we are in bumper 2 bumper line at light and while waiting he leaned out his window screaming that he would kill us if we didn't let him in, then threw a lit cigarette on car hood for good measure

There is no traffic enforcement in MA. Speeding, run red lights, race through cross walks, just do whatever you want because no Police Officer is doing anything about it. That's why every, single, day someone is run down walking or riding a bike. cc: @ofsevit

Fuck. This is@my neighborhood and people driving cars are the root cause of this. Speed limit should be 20 on side streets like Erie and strictly enforced.

I walked by TV cameras on Pearl an hour and a half ago and wondered what they were reporting. Didn't think it would be this. Crud.

I have adored all the construction on Pearl lately because there are so many fewer cars driving it. (also they are WAY slower because of the speed humps)

The speed humps, and raised sidewalks at every side street, are really good on Pearl. They should sign it at 15 mph so bikes and cars go the same speed.
