Yes! The harassing woman in Berkeley approached a couple WALKING DOWN THE STREET and told them to get out of Berkeley. If that's not racism over "just plain living" I don't knwo what is.

Racism is unfortunately not absent from the halls of academia and higher ed. Especially at liberal arts schools.

Why especially liberal arts schools? Happened at Harvard first.

I went to a liberal arts school. There were racist and homophobic events all the time, usually student on student, sometimes prof-student or town-gown. Just because it seems to be a safe bubble for most doesn't mean it is for everyone.
