It is a time-consuming and costly assignment, they say, which saps their ability to do more vital law enforcement work.
Our tax $$ at work, folks.

I exhibit many of these behaviors as do most folks with flight dread or anxiety. I’ve changed clothes too in anticipation of a climate shift at my destination. I hope one is on my tail the next time I get stuck on the crossword. Now that may make a difference.
-
It’s frightening. I also don’t know what they really expect to get from it. They are ignoring the real terrorist threat here. Why not follow around folks that buy big weapons and a ton of ammo?
-
Oh, silly Tamara, that would infringe on people's rights....
-
The FBI do check up on those folks who hoard uncommon guns and ammo. A friend of mine is doing this and he has been visited by them.
-
That’s comforting!

I'm just an average man, with an average life. I work from nine to five; hey hell, I pay the price. All I want is to be left alone in my average home; But why do I always feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone, and I always feel like somebody's watching me. And I have no privacy. MJ

Anyone still doubt that we live in a surveillance state?
-
It is a violation of our Constitutional rights beginning with unreasonable search. How can this be happening?
-
Sadly it's nothing new. Bush43 stripped away habeas corpus with hardly a word of protest. The Orwellian named Patriot Act was the death of privacy. And despite Snowden's brave truthtelling, the NSA continues with mass collection of email and warrantless wiretapping. Dark times.
