Stop. This article is biased and misleading. The issue for the US is sovereignty, not breastfeeding, and if the measure had been a statement to the effect that breastfeeding is best, the US would have signed it. The measure wasn’t a statement and it involved issues of sovereignty

If you read between the lines, it’s a sovereignty issue: ‘American officials...[asked to] remov[e] language that called on governments to “protect, promote and support breast-feeding” and...to restrict the promotion of food products that...have deleterious effects on...children.’

Am I correct you pointing out its not the governments responsibility of pointing this out but the responsibility of health organizations?
