Obama did not separate kids from parents. They have 14 days to get these kids back to their parents & it is costing the tax payers $775 per day per child. The parents over $500 a day. So all you trump supporters go praise your president for that one. This one will bite your butt.

This is costing us a fortune. Military bases and GI babysitters are next. Bottles and diapers instead of tanks and guns. What is this world coming to?? There will be lots of pics and videos when this happens. Good will win over 45 evil.
-
Will make sure to film how it turns out on my base. No worries. It'll be a pr nightmare for the administration
-
Yes! A PR nightmare. This whole thing is a nightmare. These children will be scared forever. This is the type of experience that can create personality traits that mean disassociation with society. They won't care what happens to other people if they feel no one cares now.
-
Liz, these kids are being institutionalised right now. In institutions, kids get abused. That is a massive concern.
-
Absolutely. The law is 20-day hold for children. They shouldn't be there bc parents were "held" as they applied for asylum at legal entry point. The people in question, the ones with kids in cyclone fence pens, did not sneak across. They followed rules. Many others did not.

It's shameful the US has become a country where the oldest generation still feels the need to do things like this. I wish her the best
-
I think that as you get older you will find we don't change all that much on the inside. Once a rebel, always a rebel if the cause is just. It has been almost 50 years since I protested the Vietnam War! Now I am a
#Resister. I just cannot see a time where I will shut up!
-
I can only applaud your efforts, well done and much appreciated!
-
We need it all, the enthusiasm and energy of caring youth AND the perspective we learn from our elders. We Will Overcome!

Hunger won't do it. Got to go there and make BIG public appearances. Kennedy's are strong and loved.
-
I believe every protest against injustice is worthy! Each contribution HELPS! No ONE thing will do it. I do agree humungous numbers of people protesting Will make a difference. Be there 6/30. I'd go EVERY weekend to protest!
-
Linda, you really hit the nail on the head!! People need to RT or Comment so more will read about this and talk about what's going on. Retweet or Comment!
-
Thanks for that. Dad was a carpenter so your "nail on the head" remark was good for me!
-
My husband is a carpenter!! I'm always amazed when I see him with a hammer. I'm a klutz and he's a master! Good comment, Linda. Lots of people liked it and I hope more people with RT or Comment to get it out into the big Internet universe.
-
You are sweet to say so, Thanks. I used to hold the boards when he used the table saw. Loved the ban saw and the lathe. Also proud to say Dad built the house I grew up in! One mile from the ocean

Ok, what exactly constitutes a hunger strike? Like no food at all? Just water?
-
Yes. And in prolonged to the death strikes like in Ireland in 1981 you get water and salt.
-
This one is different. Fast for 24 hours on any of the 24 days. How much does it cost to feed yourself for 24 hrs? Donate that to this cause. You can do it more than once. I don't think anyone should do it for 24 days! When get hungry that day, think of the hungry kids.
