Thank you for a quality piece written with sensitivity and candor about Alexandra Valoras’ life. I am grateful for her parent’s generosity and hope that they will find some comfort in sharing the memory of their beloved child.

This was a riveting story Mark. Thank you to her parents for sharing her words, you for writing about her and the Globe for running the story.

This resonated for me “Don’t blame yourselves for not seeing warning signs. I hid for a reason. I didn’t want you to know how deep in my own mess I was. So it wasn’t anyone’s lack of perception.” What a hard loss for her family, friends and Community.

A heart wrenching, but must read story. Please reach out to our local high schools come Fall, to suggest adding to curriculum. Perhaps a greater impact may occur there.

Heartbreaking, heartbreaking story. But what are we to have learned? Was there anything this poor family would do differently? As a parent, we know so little of our children's true selves, though we hope we do. I'm gutted by this.

Sad, we have to pay more attention to our loved ones, especially the young ones.

Truly a gripping story. But parts also run counter to recommendations at https://afsp.org/about-suicide/for-journalists/ … and http://reportingonsuicide.org How to responsibly balance journalism, engaging storytelling, and public health?
