I'm glad this is over. There was such deep racism beneath these false allegations against Junot Diaz. To have a writer of his talents be publicly humiliated and vilified based on NOTHING -- it was a lynch mob mentality at work. Those who fueled it are bullies and cowards.

ZC and CM seem to have gone to ground. They had a lot to say when the tide was with them. #junot diaz

Alisa Valdes (Junot Diaz accuser #4) bragged about sleeping with Diaz 10 yrs ago & credited him for encouraging her to be a writer. She tried to erase evidence of her blog but here's proof of how she changed her story to jump into the #metoo spotlight https://web.archive.org/web/20080413035550/http://guanabee.com/2008/04/alisa-valdes-rodriguez-gets-tm.php …

My problem with Diaz keeping his job is that he has, in the past, used his status as "famous Latino Writer" as leverage to pressure women for sex. When he targeted my (now) wife, he presented himself as a fellow Latino writer who wanted to talk writing Then negged and groped her.

Now, if he was just being an oaf towards, say, Coffee shop baristas, that would be one thing. But if he is continuing to use his status as a "famous writer" (Professor, Pulitzer board, etc.) as leverage it is on those who gave him that position to take it away.

If there are woman who have experienced Junot leveraging his status w/ MIT or Pulitzer to pressure them, I urge them to come forward. Not just for yourself, but for the women who are not yet #metoo Let's protect them.

Carmen Machado was discredited & Alisa Valdes actually bragged about sleeping with Junot Diaz 10 yrs ago & credited him for encouraging her to be a writer. She tried to erase evidence but here's proof she changed her story to profit from #metoo spotlight https://web.archive.org/web/20080413035550/http://guanabee.com/2008/04/alisa-valdes-rodriguez-gets-tm.php …

I’m sure he will get the same amount of coverage on this than when he was being pilloried. That was sarcasm.
