From a historical perspective, this makes no sense. Did the Twitter intern at @BostonGlobe sleep thru history class? RIers originally burned the HMS Gaspee (Sunday is a re-enactment) in June 9 1772—a full year & a half before the Boston Tea Party (which was December 16, 1773).
