Essex County has activated Code Blue procedures due to the extreme cold weather we are experiencing. They will be in effect through Sunday, February 5. A list of participating shelters is can be viewed by visiting NJ211.org or dialing 2-1-1.

The Health Department will conduct a SMAC Blood Testing Program on Saturday, March 11th from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at 19 Harrison Avenue. To participate in the Clinic, you must call (973) 888-6035 Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm for an appointment.

Roseland's 2023 Fishing Derby will be held on May 6, 2023 at 55 Livingston Avenue with check-in starting at 8am and the derby beginning at 9am. The event is free, but all participants must pre-register by May 4 through Community Pass.
The Duplicate Bridge program for Roseland and West Essex area seniors is back! Registration is required with games taking place on Mondays from 12:15pm to 4pm at the Roseland First Aid Squad Meeting Room. Learn more by calling Mike Colitti at 973-403-6822.

Fairfield Recreation is offering Boat Safety Courses for 2023, which Roseland residents can participate in. Sign up on Community Pass through Fairfield, choose one of three dates, and pay the $80 fee to participate.

Please be advised that there is a traffic accident on Passaic Ave going towards West Caldwell near the intersection of Harrison Ave. Until the accident is cleared, Passaic Ave is closed in that area. Please avoid the area and plan an alternate route.

The Borough is actively monitoring the coming storm tomorrow and is prepared for what may come. Thankfully, except for some snow in the morning hours, the forecast calls for mixed precip turning to all rain throughout the late afternoon and evening, ending in the overnight.
