There is no spoiler effect with RCV. Voters are able to express their true preferences. Winner gets true mandate with 50%+ support, but there are of course still losers.

Interesting...we shall see. I suppose combining RCV with open primaries would reduce the likelihood of an undesirable candidate winning.
