That one's just six minutes, but it has multiple movements and a pause for a monologue, which are really common signifiers of Tuomas is Sad Songs Here's the next well known one, from 2000: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90oF1eD6UQk … That one reminds me STRONGLY of a recording of Velveteen Rabbit>

I say, most except Dead Boy's Poem. I meant "most up to and including Ghost Love Score." After Ghost Love Score, he does two songs that are like Dead Boy's Poem and about being sad and dead, probably metaphorically.

- I started listening with Poet and the Pendulum, having listened to the album with Ghost Love Score years before and not gotten into it at the time, so I have a strong preference for Nightwish from 2007-2013

- There's also an album by Tuomas in between the last one with Annette (Imagenaerum) and the shitty one with Dawkins (Endless Forms Most Beautiful), which is about Scrooge McDuck. It's extremely good.

- I've been to Tuomas's house and met his dad. I didn't ask - I was in town to see the Nightwish museum, but unsolicited, his high school piano teacher, who sometimes gives tours, gave me and my friend a tour of all sorts of places, including *Tuomas's fucking house*

Oh yeah, also both former vocalists of Nightwish - Tarja, who was fired in 2005, and Annette, who was fired in 2013 - have gone on to solo careers. Tarja has had more success than Annette, who is a sweet person who deserves much better

But the thing I find interesting is that they each developed a tendency to refer back to Nightwish in songs, while publicly denying that's what they were doing

It's slightly deniable with Annette, who *could* be talking about some other group of friends who lied to her about things and then cast her aside in the song Lies, but... well.

(She's said things on Instagram about "hey, I REALLY APPROVE of this anti-workplace sexism stuff.I had a really bad workplace like this, I'M NOT GOING TO SAY WHERE")

Tarja, on the other hand, has lyrics like this: "Look up, look up, it's an angel in the snow [reference to an early NW song] Look up, look up, it's a frightened dead boy! [reference to the character Tuomas uses for himself]"
