And we're back to the worksheets. (They CAN'T do that, any more than Joel could have left Ellie with the Fireflies. As Neo said to Agent Smith at the end of Matrix Revolutions, "it was inevitable.")https://twitter.com/elliespoetry/status/1284966073964662787 …

am i the only one who genuinely wants ellie and abby to sit down and talk about what happened because ellie doesn’t even know the real reason why abby killed joel and abby doesn’t know how much joel meant to abby, etc.

I think they *could* have. It would have just been a different scenario.

Like I actually do think it would be more Interestimg if they had had a conversation at any point than that ghastly final scuffle. Truly. But I am willing to buy the idea that it required a different setting for them to do so.

It's a tragic narrative, is what I mean. Classically tragic (they signal that with the theater having performed a Greek tragedy, etc.) Ellie can't give up on her revenge and Abby can't say she's sorry bc that's not who they are

This is what coffeeshop AUs were invented for. Not the facepunch AU, though- while Ellie and Allie could theoretically talk there, I think it would detract from the facepunching.

So I haven't played the game but like.... This wouldn't un-torture-and-kill Joel. This story isn't realistically gonna end with Abby and Ellie hugging it out in any case.

No. I think cooperation is conceivable in TLOU3, if for no other reason than having seen it done reasonably well in Terminator: Dark Fate with Sarah Connor agreeing to work with the T-800 who murdered John on the condition she can kill him after
