Incidentally, the only thing keeping my home (the one I escaped, not the moderately bigger one I live in now) town big enough to have a Wal-Mart that stays open 24 hours is its Lockheed Martin defense plant.

If you're rural fans, you are going to have to decide if you're willing to pander to the defense industry. And no, the fairly well paid workers at these plants won't decide to just work McDonalds or something by a minimum wage increase.

What if ... Just what if .. you extended your supposedly universal critique of everything to the beautiful nature-y bucolic towns you love so much? Oh I know, it's easier to find an economically precarious woman to call bourgeoise scum.

I am *so fcking tired* of being *ripped apart* every time I share my experiences from a lifetime of living in isolated, technology-deprived, extremely bigoted and conservative rural towns with no public transit, and am villainized

Inevitably in these conversations Native peoples are brought up as if I'm suggesting further relocating them or something, or, really, suggesting that the way of life on Native reservations is somehow comparable to the kind of white small towns I'm talking about

I was once told I would "kill disabled, queer, brown, and immigrant" people by promoting pro-urban policies. When in reality the people who want small towns want those people dead. They are why we have Trump.

And they are EVERYWHERE on here, and I'm only mildly increasing the deluge of ongoing harassment I will no doubt experience all day by pointing this out.

But maybe y'all should consider that one major Presidential candidate on the Democratic side has a fanbase that hates urbanists every bit as much as the fanbase of the Republican hegemon, and that that's a good reason to be terrified of the dude from Vermont.

As we've seen, electing a candidate is electing their fanbase.

Anyway, maybe consider when doing your total critique of everything, including innocent people's gender identities and mental states and appearances, that you might include the idyllic towns you imagine are so wonderful in your "I just question everything" dude-discourse
