Acorn and Robinhood are scams. Just open a brokerage account.

I have two for my 401k and trading. I wouldn't use those for my main. I heard Robin hood is a scam but the no fees are nice. (Only had it for a month, not a lot of money) I have to look more into Acorn. Just seemed interesting.

TD is what I used when I was learning. They have great classes and they will literally walk you through calculating growth rates, price to earning ratios, reading reports etc.

Some of the Fidelity research I’ve seen is pretty good as well. Younger guys get tripped up by the broker fees, but if you go in with a long only, long-term (1 year+) Buy&hold investment thesis, they really aren’t an issue.

I use it. It's good because every time you forget you have it and then you check it to come back to 500$. It's perfect for having money you aren't even aware about.

I used it for a bit until it fucked up and stopped rounding up and I couldn't be assed to fix it. It's a neat concept, I guess. The returns are fairly minimal depending on what investment profile you go with, but so is the work you put into it so it's a wash.

Sounds like a system that will gouge you on fees. It'd be better to directly invest with something like Robin Hood, not do some weird "with my change" scheme.
