My heart is bursting. On the eve of my first child's birth, my dad - who's been in prison nearly my entire life - was granted clemency. He never intended harm, yet his crime devastated many families. My heart breaks for the families that can never get their loved ones back.

these responses look organized: look at how well the righties of the world organize and are ready to attack at the slightest provocation. And like true predators they try to camouflage themselves as randomly concerned citizens...about a 40 year old crime while the world burns.

fair point, but when most folks pile on, they do it in response to real time issues- it just seems suspect when people suddenly dig up outrage over 40 year old tragedies (and it does sound tragic, I'm not dismissing that). They'll be shouting Benghazi benghazi 40 years on.

Real time: murderer of 3 pardoned because son a DA. That’s the outrage. Clearly you’ve not lost a loved one to violent crime. So 13.3 yrs per victim is ok. Easy to say What difference does it make-HC Benghazi when it’s not your loved ones. @chesaboudin Proud daddy coming home?
