It’s really only exhausting for people who feel as if it’s doing too much. I’ve met people who naturally do it and it’s so refreshing because it’s not forced. That’s where the disconnect is. https://twitter.com/smooth_orator/status/984811265980854272 …

Words of affirmation is literally speaking your mind to the person you’re with. You know how you look at them and be like “they’re beautiful”, “they’re so smart”, “i love them”... SAY IT ALOUD. DASSIT.

It’s been warped into this thing that people think someone wants to be showered 24/7 with compliments. No. I’ve never met someone who’s love language is WOA and they felt worthless if they didn’t get on the hour reminders.

The real question is why do you hate WOA so much? Do you have problems giving compliments and warm words to those around you? You might want to reconsider the reasoning.

“I love you.” “I appreciate you.” “You are so special to me.” “I hope you have a good day.” All of these things are affirming. You should practice this not only with the people around you, but with yourself.

because most people's inner dialogue is mostly negative. thinking in the affirmative is foreign. can't give what you don't have.

WOA isn’t that hard. Holla at me when someone is a Quality time 12 like myself and we’ll talk about difficult. They have no idea.

For me, it's a level.of volnerability that is scary. Plus I show that I care about someone with my actions not my words. My words are secondary in this instance.
