At what point do we as feminists let women be honest with themselves in regards to wanting men to make us to feel wanted/sexy?

A lot of folks feminism relies on not relying on men for anything at all. What do we do about that in the realm of emotions?

Emotions aren’t tangible in the same way equal pay/opportunities are but even woman knows how it feels when a man makes you feel wanted and/or sexy.

I am a human first. Then a black woman. Humans are not solitary beings. We do need each other. Why is it frowned upon to feel like you need that connection from men? Especially if it’s healthy.

I know I have sexy moments. I also know that a man can definitely increase my inner feelings of sexy and amplify them. Where is the sin in that?

Being a feminist and being attracted to men is sort of a contradiction in and of itself. But it’s definitely one that should be embraced and explored for all its nuance.
