Lets take a step back here. Black women did not lessen our worth, society did that when we became slaves and they separated the familial unit. When speaking on how we got here y’all need to have a little more respect for the black women who had no choice in their labeling. https://t.co/zIXckjbQYz

Blatantly ignoring social conditioning from inter and intra influences on black women is where y’all make your first mistakes. Those caricatures of black womanhood were created to appease white women and black women were forced into those stereotypes.

So when a white man raped a black woman, what happened? White men said she was a “jezebel” and basically deserved it. We’ve beennnn being conditioned so it’s no surprise how we ended up here.

Or when a slave owner had women in the house he used to rape (because that’s what it was, rape), they created the “mammy” stereotype. Most “mammies” were lighter completed, and very thin due to not being fed a proper diet.

Learn your history before you come on here trying to criticize the current state of affairs. It’s not simple by any means y’all try to make it out to be.

Before commenting on the ways BW mess up dating (we do bear a lot of the responsibility for the abuse we continue to subject ourselves to), understand the historical context and precedence. This is literally all most black women know. Discord and trauma.
