im a prison abolitionist, so i always start there. but that doesn't mean i don't think people should be held accountable

How else should she be help accountable? Realistically jail is required for some offenses. Not all. But to me this is one of them.

head u sis. Its tough, I believe in total abolition, but i struggle w/it too &truth is, we aren't there yet. We haven't built the alternative yet. Folks have been tryin a combination of therapy/community service/paid restitution and restorative justice..& i understand those

options still aren't enough to some folks. But if I'm going to be consistent in the politics i believe- one of them being prisons dont help our communities- then I have to believe there's other options. I get why folks arent there tho, it was selfish and trash and dangerous
