It prevents ovulation. So if you already ovulating...... nah.
-
I thought it prevented implantation by thickening the uterine lining? It’s similar to how BC works and some BC can be taken like plan B if you take several pills at once (I had someone tell me this I forget if it was my friend in med school or some rando don’t quote me
) -
It does both. But if ovulation already occurred, it won’t prevent it. It may stop a fertilized egg from implanting but like all birth control, it isn’t 100% effective
-
See this is the answer I was looking for
-
I think it actually thins the uterine lining bc thick lining makes it easier to implant that’s why we shed lining on our periods
-
It thickens the cervical mucus

Ahh, makes sense. Thanks! I’m just gonna tell my husband we can never have sex again tho...bc I’m in Georgia lol

Not necessarily. Women can still get pregnant if they aren't ovulating at that moment, it's not common but can happen. Idk the science behind that tho.
-
I think that sperm can be in the body for a few days so if you start ovulating soon after sex the spermies have a chance
-
Yup, I think sperm can live up to 5 days.
